Inside your package, you will find your TrackIT Pro hardware clip and mounting ties. First, inspect all parts carefully. Moreover, the clip integrates seamlessly with almost any standard headset on the market today.

2. Mounting the Clip to Your Headset

Next, attach the clip to the headband of your headset. You can choose either the left or right side. Therefore, use the provided cable ties to secure the mount firmly. Make sure the unit does not move when you shake your head.

3. Camera Positioning for Gaming Head Tracker Setup

Your tracker uses invisible infrared light to send positioning data. Therefore, you need a tracking camera with its internal IR filter removed. We strongly recommend using a modified PlayStation 3 Eye camera for best results.

The PS3 Eye processes high frame rates up to 120 FPS. Consequently, your camera movements remain fluid and lag-free during intense sim sessions.

Important: Standard unmodified webcams block infrared light signals. Moreover, you must use a pre-filtered camera. As a result, we stock ready-to-use modified units built specifically for seamless performance.

Place your camera on top of your central monitor. Thus, ensure it has an unobstructed line of sight to your clip LED array for proper head tracking response.

4. Installing OpenTrack Software

Before plugging in your hardware, download your open-source tracking software. For instance, you can get the latest release directly from OpenTrack on GitHub. In addition, install the required camera drivers so your PC detects the sensor correctly.

5. Connecting and Calibrating Your Hardware

Finally, connect both USB cables to your motherboard ports. Next, launch OpenTrack on your desktop. Move your head around to test the digital tracking model. Thus, your system is completely ready for action.
